Come join Their Royal Majesties in their local shire, as Windale hosts its annual Gaelic Games. It is sure to be a day full of merriment, tradition, and great memories!
The Shire will host traditional games and activities such as Hnefatafl, Glückshaus, SHEEP TOSS, Kubb, stick jousting, and a kiddy cattle raid. Although no tournaments will be held, a portion of the park will be reserved for pick up fights for both rapier and hard suit.
In addition to an assortment of games, the Shire will also hold a Beard Competition! Yes you read that right: a Beard Competition! Use your creativity to spice up your natural beard. Don’t have a beard? That’s okay too – create your own artificial beard! The following categories will be judged and awarded:
Best Beard Bling
Best Beard Braid
Best Long Beard
Best Short Beard
Best Fake Beard
Lunch will be provided, with hotdogs, buns, and condiments for all guests. Vegan options will be available by request but must be reserved, so please send an email to the address below prior to the event. Anyone is welcome to bring a potluck-style side or drink to share with the populace.
The event will be held at Cecil Davis Park, in Kingman. This is a wet site, but no glass is allowed. Feel free to bring shades that do not require staking.
Court will be held at TRM’s discretion.

Directions: From I-40, exit south on Andy Devine Ave (Rt 66) for 2 miles. Turn left on Hualapai Mountain Rd for 0.6 miles. Turn left onto Van Buren St for 0.2 miles. Cecil Davis Park will be on the left.
