Northern Yule: Around the World through the Ages

Come one and all to a day of merriment and feasting in the glorious lands of the Barony of Granite Mountain! Celebrate the Yuletide with your friends from the North. We will be having court dancing and Middle Eastern drumming and dancing in the afternoon. We will have some period board games set up and invite you to bring yours. (Bring chukies/tokens for gluckhaus.) We will be having a period-themed gift exchange, followed by a table decorating contest (candles allowed with batteries only). We are also having a largess derby to help out the Northern Baronies. Please bring 7 items for the derby. (3 items will go to Ered Sul, 3 to Granite Mountain, and the winner will receive 1 of each.)

Our wonderful feast stewards are preparing a feast to delight the palette and including period dishes from multiple countries from 1000 to 1600 A.D. Bards are welcome to share a tale or song during the feast.

The event will be at Mountain Oak School, 1455 Willow Creek Rd., Prescott, AZ 86301. Site will open at 11:00 a.m. and close at 8:00 p.m. The site is dry.

Site fees are $15 with a $5 discount for members. Youth 3-17 are $5.

Feast fee is $12 for adults and $5 for children. Children under 3 are free.

Please pre-register for this event, especially if you plan on partaking in the feast. You can preregister online THROUGH THIS LINK, or send a money order or cashier’s check payable to, “SCA, Inc. Barony of Granite Mountain” and mail to BGM exchequer at 3141 N. Pleasant View Dr., Prescott Valley, AZ 86314.

Feast reservations/payments must be received by November 18th. If you are unable to prepay, but still wish to attend, you will need to bring cash for the gate fee and will need to sideboard (bring your own dinner).

The office also provides social media guidance to other Kingdom and branch Officers.
