The Thrones of Thunder demand new blood!

The current Thunder Champions need rest, and wish to pass their duties and regalia on to the next generation of Champions in Mons. To that end, we invite the populace near and far to come bear witness to those brave souls who wish to don the mantles of being a proud Champion of Thunder!

While all are welcome to participate ~ only those who hail from our fair Barony, as well as those from the Incipient Shire of Vallis Aeris, may declare to compete for a champion title.

All Attendees:

Check-in at Gate to show your membership status OR sign a waiver. Both of our sites have good parking, access to restrooms, and provide water on site. It’s recommended you still bring your own water however, as well as prepare for the sun, have a chair on Sunday plus sunscreen and a shade if you need it (no staking on the field).

We will have a donation jar on BOTH days! A $5 donation is highly encouraged, but anything you give is greatly appreciated, with all donations going to the Baronial General Fund.

Please consider competing for one of these Baronial Championships! Otherwise, we would love to have you come out and enjoy the spectacle (our competitors need cheerleaders and admirers!!)

On Saturday the 19th at Cochise College, we acknowledge those strong in the Arts and mindful of the Sciences to compete for the titles of BMMT Arts and Sciences Champion or Bard of Thunder!

A&S: Capture Lightning ~ Display your creations in the Mons A&S Competition!

Bardic: Command Thunder ~ Woo the populace and your Excellencies with song, poem, and merriment!

Cook’s: Our fair Barony’s Cook’s Guild has offered to provide a fund-raiser ~ bakery style goodies in exchange for monetary donations to the Barony!

On Sunday the 20th at Arbenz Field, come support our fighters on the fields and the ranges while they display their martial prowess at this glorious event!

Archery: The archers of Mons Tonitrus keep our enemies at a safe distance, but ONE will shoot farther and truer than the others this day!

Youth Archery: We encourage the youth of Mons to participate in a fun archery shoot in the name of Youth Baronial Archery Champion! Come claim the title from our former Champion!

Thrown Weapons: Our mighty warriors will hurl javelins, axes and the mighty atlatl at ANY stalwart foe who survives the onslaught of arrows!

Hardsuit & Rapier: Lastly, our fearsome foot soldiers, clad in armor and armed with rapier, shall dispatch the rest!

Attend these days of tournaments to see who will be the next Champions in the Barony March of Mons Tonitrus!
