The Art of War: Melee Camp IV at Kingdom Arts and Sciences Collegium!
This grand event will be held at the Holy Trinity Monastery in Saint David from October 9th to October 12th. This is the same sight that King Morgan and Queen Elizabeth won their latest Crown Tournament and where King Sutton and Queen Celeste were crowned the Majesties of glorious Atenveldt! Now, two events, once separate, will be made one, with a single site fee to enjoy both!
Melee Camp IV will celebrate the latest peerage, the Order of the Mark, with combat archery and siege weapons on the fighting field. Target archery and thrown weapons will be held on a separate field. Be sure to check here to stay up to date on all the marshal activities!
The Kingdom Arts and Sciences Collegium will continue to build upon the success of past collegiums by offering many fun and interesting learning tracks. This includes the return of the feast steward tract which will culminate in a savory feast! Other tracks available are performance, fiber, decorative arts, as well as all things wood, metal and glass!
Both events will begin together Friday night with bardic performances by firelight and a monster themed torchlight tournament. After the fighting and classes, both events will come together again Saturday night for fun and entertainment! There will be dancing around fires, more bardic performances, and spontaneous “no kidding, there I was…” storytelling!

Arts and Sciences at “Art of War” has a schedule! Please check back regularly, as classes are still being added until September 20th! Also, the competition for Kingdom Arts and Sciences champion will be held at this event. Details are coming soon!

Kingdom Arts and Sciences Champion Announcement
Oyez! Oyez! Good populace of Atenveldt, Their Highnesses want YOU! We will be having the Kingdom Arts and Sciences competition at The Art of War: Melee Camp IV at Kingdom Arts and Sciences Collegium all day on Saturday, October 11. It will be located in the Library.
There are 2 levels of competing, the Queen’s Choice for the Laurels and the King’s Choice for the Populace.
What you need:
- Up to 3 pieces of art for display.
- Documentation for each piece.
- If you are teaching and want to declare, you can using your teaching as your art as well and have a display where you are teaching.
You are not required to sit with your art. Displays will be done in the library at St David Monastery.

Cooks Guild Meeting
There will be a Cook’s Guild Meeting on Friday, October 10th at 10:00 in the kitchen. Anyone who is interested in period cooking, feasting or wanting more information should feel free to attend.
The Grande Finale
Immediately following court on Saturday night, there will be a special event featuring the weekend’s efforts.
- Feast will be provided to those who paid for it and will be the culmination of our Food and Feasting Track.
- Display of all the Make and Take items that were started or completed over the event.
- Feast Entertainment provided by the instructors and participants that learned something new over the weekend.
