Event Description

Come join the Shire of Windale for our annual Gaelic Games. This year we will have everyone’s favorite games back, such as Hnefatafl, Glückshaus, SHEEP TOSS, Kubb and kiddy cattle raid. On top of our traditional games we are adding something new!  For the first time ever we are introducing a 5 person relay, sure to bring an extra level of challenge to a day full of games, puzzles and festivities.

The 5 person relay will include 5 games, each team member will be in charge of one leg of the relay. The relay categories will involve knowledge, agility, strength, luck and more. IF you do not have a full team of 5, there will be plenty of single players running around willing to join a team for the right incentive.

After much excitement and fundraising last year for the animal shelter we will be doing another silent auction this year.

Although no tournaments will be held, a portion of the park will be reserved for pick up fights for both rapier and hard suit.

Lunch will be provided, with hotdogs, buns, and condiments for all guests. Vegan options will be available by request but must be reserved,so please send an email to the address below prior to the event. Anyone is welcome to bring a potluck-style side or drink to share with the populace. This is a wet site, but no glass is allowed. Feel free to bring shades that do not require staking.

This site has parking, and handicap accessible bathrooms.
