The Holiday Inn Express Oro Valley- Tucson North is the closest hotel, 3 miles from the park (average
rates under $100/night).

Event Fees:
Pre-registered: $10 for members and $20 for non-members, youth 17 and under free.
At the Gate: $15 for members and $25 for non-members, youth 17 and under free.

THIS IS A CAMPING EVENT – both period and mundane tents welcome.
The single most important duty of any Crown is to ensure the succession of their royal line. To that end,
their most magnanimous and benevolent majesties Morgan Æthelwulf, and Elizabeth Æthelwulf,
King and Queen of Atenveldt, do invite all who find these words to attend the Crown tournament of
glorious Atenveldt. This will be a weekend event full of fun, fighting, and pageantry located in the
Barony of Granite Mountain. Saturday: you will witness the most Glorious Tournament of our Kingdom
where the heirs of Their Royal Majesties of Atenveldt will rise in victory. Join us as we welcome the new
heirs while enjoying companionship and revelry in the beautiful lands of southern Atenveldt in the
Barony of Tir Ysgithr. We look forward to your attendance!

Site Information:
Showers are available as well as stone privies! There are 3 shower stalls in each bathroom. There is
potable water onsite and dumpsters for trash. The site is a Wet site, glass is allowed, but as always,
clean up after yourself. Pets are welcome on a leash, and fires are in designated spots as well as any
propane fires elevated from the ground. Quiet Hours are from 10 PM to 7 AM. Please be respectful of
the other sites.
RV Campers – Reserve your spot online at https://azstateparks.com/catalina/camping-and-rvs/rv-and-
tent-camping There are limited RV sites available with electric, sewage, and water hookups. You will
have to book your campsite separate from the event. Reservations can be cancelled 60 days prior to the
event, though there is a $3.20 non-refundable reservation fee. Sites are $35 per night.
Equestrian – There is camping at the Equestrian Center for an additional $25 per night, though you do
not have to camp with your horse if you choose to stay at the registered group sites. There are 16
corrals for horses at the park available as a first come, first served basis. There will not be any formally
organized equestrian activities at the event, however, the park boasts many horse friendly trails, and
horses are welcome to attend the event, but cannot stay in the group campgrounds overnight. Please

Directions to Event:
From Tucson: Take Oracle Road North to Innovation Market Drive Turn right (East) to the ranger station
and proceed on down the road Parking is free for attendees. Please mention you are with the SCA when
you arrive If you have a state park pass, we ask that you use that instead Turn Left at the signs for the
group sites and follow to the Gila Monster Site If you reach the turnaround for the trailhead, you have
gone too far.
From the I10: Take the Tangerine Road exit and head East Turn Right onto Innovation Market Drive and
follow the street to Oracle Road Pass through Oracle and proceed to the ranger station then further
down the road Parking is free for attendees. Please mention you are with the SCA when you arrive If you
have a state park pass, we ask that you use that instead Turn Left at the signs for the group sites and
follow to the Gila Monster Site If you reach the turnaround for the trailhead, you have gone too far.
PARKING: When you arrive at the gate, you do not have to pay for parking, simply explain that you are
here for the SCA event, and you will be given a parking pass. If you have a state park pass, we ask that
you use that instead to help with event costs. Parking for this event is limited. We ask everyone to
please carpool whenever possible. Just across the street, there is an In and Out Burger with a huge
parking lot. We strongly recommend that you park there and carpool on the way into the park.
