Who can recommend someone for an award?
Anyone! You don’t need a title or rank—if you’ve seen someone doing excellent work, let the Crowns know.
How do I know what award to recommend?
If you’re unsure, browse the Kingdom Award List for inspiration or check their current awards in the Order of Precedence.
What information should I have ready?
Their SCA name, modern name, pronouns (if known), their local group, and a short write-up about why they deserve recognition.
Can I recommend someone from another group?
Yes! Awards are Kingdom-wide, and good deeds aren’t bound by geography.
Will the recipient be notified?
No—recommendations are kept confidential so the award can be a surprise if granted in court!
Can I recommend more than one person?
Absolutely. You’re encouraged to lift up all those who inspire you in the Dream.
