The time has come again. Each year, far and wide across the land of the Barony of Atenveldt, good gentles
come to compete and to support competitors in multiple fields of prowess. On the martial fields – Hardsuit, Rapier,
and Archery, as well as in the Arts and Sciences, Bardic, and Equestrian traditions.
Archery and Equestrian competitions will be held at their customary practice times and locations, on the
19th and 24th of October respectively. All other competitions will be held at the primary champion’s event on the
25th. On that day, their excellencies will announce who they feel, through both prowess and personality, best embody
a champion of the field.
But what is expected of a champion? More than mere prowess, a champion is one who champions – they
enthusiastically support, promote, defend, and advocate for others to participate in or learn about the field which
they represent, and the Barony they represent it in. They do so internally, and as representatives of the barony when
outside of baronial lands.
