A&S Tatami Cutting Practice

The monthly Tatami Cutting Practice will focus on using historical swordsmanship techniques to successfully cut through rolled grass tatami mats. There will be no use fee for the space, but there will be a lab fee of roughly $20 / person for their mat.
What is Tatami Cutting?
Tatami cutting is the application of historical swordsmanship techniques to cut through a rigid medium. Historically used tatami mats were used in east Asia, but this has been adopted by European practitioners in the 21st century who want to perfect the art of delivering martial cuts in a non-martial setting.
