Barony of Sun Dragon Schedule

Greetings Populace of Sun Dragon! We are proud to announce that we have finally gotten together a plan for reopening our practices and small gatherings. Please be aware that all of these local gatherings will require proper signage with the required compliance statement as well as a sign-in sheet. No exceptions will be tolerated.

General Schedule

The schedule is as follows starting on September 6, 2021:

Sundays:

Archery – summer hours from 7:00 am to 10:00 am and winter hours from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at El Oso Park at 75th Ave and Indian School (field is on the East side of the park)

Mondays:

Arts and Sciences –  from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Peoria Community Center

Scribal Night – from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at at the Peoria Community Center

Populace and Officers Meeting – first Monday of the month from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Peoria Community Center (also available via Zoom)

Thursdays:

Fighter Practice – from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm Pioneer Park at 83rd Ave and Olive (Multipurpose field #3 on the South East corner of the park, entrance is off of 79th Ave)

Baronial Court – held the second Thursday of the month at Fighter Practice

Fridays:

Thrown Weapons Practice – from 7:00 to 9:00 pm in home near 67th Ave and Bell Rd

COVID Guidelines

SCA Rules:

Although the SCA complies with all applicable laws to try to ensure the health and safety of our event participants, we cannot eliminate the risk of exposure to infectious diseases during in-person events. By participating in the in-person events of the SCA, you acknowledge and accept the potential risks. You agree to take any additional steps to protect your own health and safety and those under your control as you believe to be necessary.

City of Peoria rules:

Individuals engaged in outdoor recreation while maintaining six feet of distance from others who are not members of the same household are not required to wear face coverings. Face coverings are required for individuals not engaged in outdoor recreation if they cannot maintain six feet of distance from others who are not members of the same household.

Maximum of 40 people Ramada Licensee may bring a maximum of one (1) card size table (3′ x 3′) and a maximum of 5 chairs per rental. This rental contract also allows the use of a gas grill in the designated area of the Ramada.

City of Phoenix rules:

A mask or face covering and physical distancing protocols are no longer required in city facilities for those who are fully vaccinated.​
