We host weekly practices, hands-on classes, and plenty of chances to connect, no experience (or membership) required.

Activities Are More Than Practice

You don’t have to fight to enjoy fighter or archery practice! These weekly gatherings are also social hubs where you can watch, learn, craft, or just hang out with friendly folks.

Getting Started with Garb

Not sure what to wear? Loaner garb is available for newcomers, and we offer resources and workshops to help you create your own. Garb isn’t required for many events, but it’s a fun way to express your medieval persona!

Weekly Activities



Fighter Practice & Populace Meetup

Test your skills (or just spectate!) at our weekly heavy and rapier practice in the shade of the pines. Great for crafting, socializing, and asking questions, too. Check the BES Facebook page each week for confirmation.



Arts & Sciences Night

Hands-on classes and project nights covering illumination, costuming, culinary, bardic, and more. All skill levels welcome—come learn or share what you know.



Archery & Thrown Weapons Practice

Practice target archery and thrown weapons in a friendly, safety-focused environment. Address provided via Facebook/Discord or by messaging the hosts.



Pell Practice

Focused striking and footwork practice to build form and endurance. Location is a private residence—message Their Excellencies or contact us via Facebook/Discord for details.

Fabric Arts Day

A come-and-create day for sewing, patterning, repairs, and fiber arts. Have a specific request? Comment on the monthly BES Facebook post so we can prep materials or mentors.
