Deputy Seneschal

The Seneschal’s office handles the business side of our dream.

Seneschals are responsible for coordinating the administration and ensuring the proper and effective operation of the Society’s historical “game-side” re-creation. While the Seneschal is a very important position in any branch, it is essential to remember that the position is a part of a larger team of branch officers who make the SCA happen.

Deputy Seneschal and Emergency Deputy assist the Seneschal in accomplishing tasks at hand. (e.g., monthly reports, run the officer’s meeting, sign contracts, maintain warrants, and more).

If you have ever been curious about this office, submit a letter. Being a deputy is a great way to get a taste for what responsibilities the office holds without committing to the office fully or to learn the role while the current officer still occupies the position so you could possibly take over for them in the future.
