Rapier Broken Battlefield Scenarios

General Information

  • All fighting conventions and weapon standards will adhere to Atenveldt Standards. Scenarios may have
    specific weapon restrictions for Hot and Cold
  • Visiting Kingdom armor requirements will be honored.
  • There will be NO RUNNING on the Broken Battlefield. The terrain is loose gravel and scrubby plant life.
    All fighters should examine the field for hazards and exercise caution.
  • Any areas roped off completely with caution tape will be considered solid objects/structures and cannot be walked into or fired through

Scenario 1: Take the field

Duration: 15 mins, run twice – one hot and one cold

Description:

Three control points are set up across the field. Armies will start on their resurrection points and fight to flip the flags to take control of each point.

Resurrections: Unlimited

Hot conventions: RBGs/Archery and Spears

Special Rules:

  • During Cold = the flags start in neutral.
  • During Hot = the flags begin controlled by the army who won the castle battle on Friday.

Victory Conditions:

The army that controls the flags for the most time is the winner.


Scenario 2: Hostage rescue

Duration: 15 mins or until the objective is met.

Run 4 times: 2 will be run hot and 2 cold, switching sides with each

Description:

  • The attacking team will select three fighters that have been ‘taken’ as hostages. The defending army will secretly select one of the hostages that will end the scenario and inform the marshals.
  • The defending team starts on the field dispersed as they like. The attacking team will start at their resurrection point.
  • The attacking army needs to retrieve the three members of their army ‘taken’ as hostages and lead them back to their resurrection point. To lead a hostage a fighter must have one free hand to place on their shoulder.

Special Rules:

Hostages will be armored but unarmed. They cannot communicate with their army until they return to the resurrection point. Once they are returned to the resurrection point they may take up arms and join the attacking force if the scenario is not over.

Limited resurrections: 3

Hot conventions: RBGs/Archery

Victory Conditions:

The attackers win if they retrieve the correct ‘secret’ hostage. If both armies retrieve the ‘secret’ hostage, the army that does it the fastest is the winner.


Scenario 3: Deliver the Package

Duration: 15mins or until the objective is met.

Run 4 times: 2 will be run hot and 2 cold, switching sides with each

Description:

The attacking team has an item that they are trying to deliver across the field. The item starts and ends perpendicular to both resurrection points and both sides start at their resurrections point. Only the attacking team can move the item and a fighter must have one free hand to hold the item. If the fighter holding the item dies they take a knee and hold the item over their head and must wait for a teammate to come and take it from them before going to the resurrection point.

Limited resurrections: 3

Hot conventions: RBGs/Archery and Spears

Special Rules:

Every fighter will be limited to 1 weapon (single sword, spear, rbg).

Scenario Bonus: The hard suit scenario D1S4 will determine how many extra weapons each army can disperse throughout their forces.

Victory Conditions: Deliver the package. The army that does it the fastest wins.


Scenario 4: All for One

Duration:

  • 10 mins
  • Run 4 times: 2 will be run hot and 2 cold, switching sides with each

Description:

  • Take and maintain control of a single flag. Depending on the field set up, flag may be placed inside a building or space with limited entrances.
  • Both teams start at their resurrection point

Resurrections: Unlimited

Hot conventions: RBGs/Archery and Spears

Victory Conditions: The army that controls the flag for the longest time is the winner
