War of the Phoenix has always been a place where creativity thrives, and 2026 will be no exception. This year, we are excited to present two cornerstone experiences for makers, creators, teachers, and learners of all ages: the Phoenix & Dragon Artisan’s Showcase and the Arts & Sciences Academy. Whether you’re displaying your latest masterpiece, bringing a work-in-progress, or stepping forward to teach, we invite you to join us in celebrating the vibrant arts and sciences of our Society.
Phoenix & Dragon Artisan’s Showcase
The Artisan’s Showcase welcomes participants of all skill levels—from first-time makers to master artisans. Bring your finest pieces, your experiments, or even your unfinished projects. This is a relaxed, supportive environment where you can share your journey, ask questions, and connect with fellow artisans who share your passion.
Youth Artisans Spotlight
We are delighted to include a dedicated Youth Display Area, giving our youngest creators the chance to shine. Art lovers are encouraged to bring small appreciation tokens (“chookies”) to recognize inspiring artwork throughout the day.
Tea Table Hospitality
Enjoy tea, lemonade, and cookies throughout the event. If you wish to add something to the tea table, small bites, snacks, or beverage samples (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) are welcome. Please offer items in bite-sized portions for easy sharing.
Showcase Guidelines
Artisans are not required to stay with their displays. However, event staff cannot be responsible for unattended items.
Items left after the event will be given to the Sherriff; youth items will be returned to the Youth Center.
Youth under 12 who remain with their display must have an adult present.
The showcase is hosted outdoors under a tent—please plan for weather.
Participants may bring their own tables and chairs for their displays.
Arts & Sciences Academy — Teachers Needed!
The Arts & Sciences Academy is seeking instructors and artisans eager to share their knowledge. Each year, attendees enjoy a wide range of classes—from weaving and garb-making to herbalism, brewing, food crafts, medieval sciences, and hands-on workshops. If you have a skill or passion tied to medieval life, we would love to have you teach!
Class Schedule
- Wednesday: 12 PM – 4 PM
- Thursday: 10 AM – 4 PM
- Friday: 10 AM – 4 PM
- Saturday: 10 AM – 4 PM
All are welcome to contribute—whether you want to teach a single class, host a demo, or lead a hands-on make-and-take session. Your knowledge helps create the rich, immersive environment that makes War of the Phoenix such a unique event.
