DESCRIPTION:It is that time of the year\, folks! The weather has chilled\, and the holidays are almost done so that means BOAR FEST!!!!! Come join the Barony of Tir Ysgithr as we wrap up the holiday season in style with delicious food\, drink\, and merriment for free! Our food will be a Potluck – Please see below for suggestions on what to bring. Your best festive garb is desired and encouraged! \nLet us call up the Ghost of Fop Revels Past and enjoy the company of this BOAR FEST REVEL! We aim to have SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE!!!!!!!! \nActivities\n\nAre you a Brewer? Please bring your delicious winter brews to share for our Brewing Contest!\nWe will have a Medieval-Themed Photo Booth area for those who are having too much fun to remember to take photos.\nAre you a skilled fighter? Put on a blindfold and test yourself in a Windchime Tournament.\nNone of the above sound like your jam? Come enjoy and/or participate in a bardic circle! Bring your favorite festive crowd-pleasers or use the opportunity to try out something new. (Optional) theme will be revelry\, merriment\, or the holidays. Please plan to keep each performance to 5 minutes or less.\n\nAny Royal or Baronial Court will be at the discretion of Their Royal Majesties and Their Excellencies of Tir Ysgithr. \nPolling\nWe will also be having our Polling at this event to choose the next gentles to hold the Baronage of this fine Barony. All current SCA members who hold residency in BTY are encouraged to help choose the next leaders of our Barony – don’t forget your proof of membership! \nPotluck\nJoin in on the Potluck – Please consider the below suggested item types to bring\, but all contributions are welcome! \nDisposable Feast Gear (Plates\, bowls\, cups and utensils) will be provided by the Hosts\, but feel free to bring your own feast gear and don’t forget your tankards and goblets. \n\nRoyal Peers\, Thegns and Bannthegns: ​A Main Roasted or Smoked Protein\nChivalry\, Laurels\, Pelicans\, MODs​ and Marks: A Main Dish to feed 8-12 gentlefolk – Vegetarian and Gluten-free entrees welcome!\nArmigers and Ships:​ A Side Dish to feed 8-12 gentlefolk – If you bring a bread\,\nplease bring a spread to accompany it! If you bring a bag of chips\, please don’t forget the dip!\nPopulace New and Old​​​: A Favorite Dessert\n\nPlease LABEL your Crockpot parts\, bowls\, serving ware or containers if you want to easily retrieve them. \nLast but not least\, if you are in need of inspiration please contact Mistress Magdalen\, our potluck coordinator – she is always happy to help.
