Sable Knight (CSF)
Event: Sable Knight
When: April 12th, 2026, Court at 10 am
Where: L.W. Cross Middle School 1000 W Chapala Dr, Tucson, AZ 85704
What: Hear Ye, Hear Ye! A Call for Aid from the College of St. Felix!
The College of St. Felix sends forth a desperate plea to the Kingdom. Long have we labored under the cruel tyranny of Syr Sable and his shadowed minion, Rogue Noir, condemned to the salt mines and ruled without mercy. We call upon brave fighters, skilled artisans, and silver-tongued bards to rise up, answer our plea, and help us reclaim our freedom.
Join us for a full day of valor and defiance as we seek to name the Champions of the Cat. The field will host a heavy weapons tournament to determine the Armored Champion of the Cat, alongside a rapier tournament to crown the Rapier Champion of the Cat. Those whose weapons are words and song are invited to compete for Bard of the Cat in a bring-your-best bardic competition, with preference given to performances mocking Syr Sable, decrying his tyranny, or calling for freedom from his rule. The day will also feature an Arts and Sciences competition for Artisan of the Cat, open to any entry drawn from classes taught during Felician practices. A list of eligible classes will be posted by Lady Marion inghean an Bhaird.
Our youth fighters will have their chance at glory as well, when a fearsome ogre stalks the field, awaiting defeat at the hands of the next generation of heroes.
Sustenance will be available at midday in the form of handmade sausage quiche lunchboxes. Lunches may be pre-purchased or purchased on the day of the event for $7, first-come, first-served.
An auction will be held in support of the cause, cash only, and donations of items for sale are eagerly sought.
The gate fee for the event will be $10 for members and $20 for non-members.
Come stand with the College of St. Felix. Lend your strength, your skill, your art, and your voice, and help us cast off the chains of Syr Sable and Rogue Noir, escape the salt mines, and restore freedom to the Cat.
The Kingdom is called to rise. Will you answer?
