TRM Have a Challenge for you!

Fair Atenveldt!
Thursday night, We were fortunate enough to get shifts to volunteer at the vaccination pod in town, which ended in Us getting Our shots. We know that everyone is anxious to return to normal, so We can gather and revel and visit again. But how can We help make that a reality sooner rather than later? After volunteering, we found out that once the state opened vaccines to everyone, the drive to volunteer fell off dramatically, and those sites are really struggling to staff the shifts appropriately. There’s a shift out there for everyone, whether you’re wanting to work an overnight all night shift, or if you would rather a shorter mid day shift.

Enter the Challenge!!!

We are hereby challenging the geopolitical groups (Kingdoms, Baronies, Shires, Colleges) to sign up and volunteer time at vaccination sites, to make sure that these vital locations are staffed appropriately so that everyone can be vaccinated, thus allowing Us to return to Our normal once again.
Here’s how it works!
During the period of March 24th (the day that Gov. Ducey opened vaccines to everyone in Arizona) through May 24th, volunteer! Track those hours (most of the organizations where you can volunteer have a site that tracks that time) and send them in to Us, along with the group that you wish to credit for those hours, at crown@atenveldt.org. We had luck signing up with handsonphoenix.org – and they are opening up more and more shifts every day. For groups outside the metro Phoenix area, we know that the various counties and universities are sponsoring vaccine clinics – they should have volunteer opportunities readily available.

Winning group will receive a commemorative banner to mark the occasion, as well as the undying gratitude of members around the Society, who are all longing to reopen and see their friends again. This banner is being created by the amazing and talented Aud the Beardless.

Get to work, Atenveldt!!
