Order of Precedence

Order of Precedence is a sequential heirarchy of rank. In the SCA, this takes the form of recognition of awards received, the rank of the award and when the person recieved it. In formal events, the Order of Precedence plays a part in how members of the SCA relate to each other. For example: in Crown tournament, combatants and their consorts are presented to the crown before the tournament in Order of Precedence.

In Atenveldt's Online order of precedence, a person need not have an award to be listed. With photos from a good portion of our populace, the OP works as a who's who in Atenveldt. Feel free to explore around a bit.

Aten OP Warranted Office
Verification Form

This form (fillable PDF; on the Forms page) may be used when asking the Aten Seneschal to verify a warranted office held within the SCA for inclusion in an individual's Atenveldt Order of Precedence record.

Court Reporting Form

This is the form that must be used by Court Heralds for all Kingdom and Baronial Courts. Copies of this form must be provided to at least the Abacus and Aten Principal Heralds; additional copies should be provided to the Royals (Crown or Coronet) holding court, and should also be kept on file by the reporting herald.

Gilded Heart of Ered Sul

Barony of Ered Sûl

Award Charter

I. There shall exist in the Barony of Ered Sul an award known as the Order of the Mountain Heart, which shall be given by the baron or baroness of Ered Sul to those persons who render great service to Their Excellencies and the populace of the Barony of Ered Sul.

II. The holders of this award shall be styled Companions of the Mountain Heart, and shall be entitled to place the initials “C.M.H.” after their names.

III. The insignia of this order shall be, subject to the approval of the College of Heralds, Azure, on a mountain of three peaks issuant from base vert, fimbriated and snow capped argent, a heart Or. IV. The Crown of Atenveldt shall be the protector of this order.

V. The baronial coronet of Ered Sul shall be the principal of this order. VI. The first person to receive this award shall be confirmed as premier of this order and shall be entitled to place the initials “P.C.M.H.” after their name.

VII. Companions of this order shall be listed in the kingdom order of precedence after the principality awards, and before the awards of arms.

VIII. Amendments to this constitution shall be made by the baron or baroness of Ered Sul, after due consultation with the Crown of Atenveldt.
