Order of Precedence
 Order of Precedence  

Order of Precedence is a sequential heirarchy of rank. In the SCA, this takes the form of recognition of awards received, the rank of the award and when the person recieved it. In formal events, the Order of Precedence plays a part in how members of the SCA relate to each other. For example: in Crown tournament, combatants and their consorts are presented to the crown before the tournament in Order of Precedence.

In Atenveldt's Online order of precedence, a person need not have an award to be listed.  With photos from a good portion of our populace, the OP works as a who's who in Atenveldt. Feel free to explore around a bit.

Award Charter

In Anno Societatis thirty-seven, during the third Reign of Their Royal Majesties Aaron and Alisandra there was created an award known as the Order of the Flower of the Desert. Cecily de la Warde was created Premier of this Order on August 3, 2002.

I.  TThere shall exist in the Kingdom of Atenveldt an award, known as the Order of the Flower of the Desert, which may be given by the Crown to those persons who have demonstrated skill in the Arts and Sciences.

II.  An individual may receive only one Flower of the Desert Award.

III.  The members of this Order shall be styled as Companions of the Flower of the Desert and shall be entitled place the initials C.F.D. after their names.

IV.  The insignia of the order shall be; Or, three fleur-de-lys in pall bases to center azure.

V.  Companions of the Order shall take precedence after armigerous Principality Awards and before armigerous Baronial Awards.

VI.  The Protectors of the order will be the Crown of Atenveldt.

VII.  Amendments to this charter shall be made by the Crown of Atenveldt.

VIII.  The membership in the Order of all previous recipients of this award is hereby confirmed.
