I. There shall exist in the Principality of the Sun an award, Known as the Order of the Eye of the Eagle, which may be given by the Prince and Princess, subject to the pleasure of the Crown, to those persons whom they feel to have demonstrated excellence in both teaching and use of those fighting arts not already covered by the Order of the Fanged Wolf, to whit archery, shinai, and rapier skills.
II. The holders of the award shall be styled as Companions of the Eye of the Eagle and shall be entitled to place the initials C.E.E. after their names.
III. The insignia of the order shall be, subject to approval by the SCA College of Arms: Argent, an eagle rising addorsed within an arrow, a rapier, a katana, and a bow, all mascle-wise gules.
IV. Arms and Precedence:
a. The award shall carry with it, subject to the pleasure of the crown, an Award of Arms, and companions of the order shall take precedence after armigerous kingdom orders but before baronial orders.
b. If the award is given to a person who bears an award carrying higher precedence than given above, his/her precedence shall remain unchanged.
c. If the award is given to a person who has previously received and Award of Arms, his/her precedence shall date from his/her election to the order.
V. Amendments to this constitution shall be made by the Coronet of the Sun after due consultation with the Crown.

All members of this order are hereby confirmed as Companions of the Eye of the Eagle, and are further confirmed with the right to fly the Ensign of the Sun from this day forward.
This order is hereby closed by command of their Solar Highnesses, Drusilus and Yrsa, rightwise Prince and Princess of the Sun.
