Order of Precedence

Order of Precedence is a sequential heirarchy of rank. In the SCA, this takes the form of recognition of awards received, the rank of the award and when the person recieved it. In formal events, the Order of Precedence plays a part in how members of the SCA relate to each other. For example: in Crown tournament, combatants and their consorts are presented to the crown before the tournament in Order of Precedence.

In Atenveldt's Online order of precedence, a person need not have an award to be listed. With photos from a good portion of our populace, the OP works as a who's who in Atenveldt. Feel free to explore around a bit.

Aten OP Warranted Office
Verification Form

This form (fillable PDF; on the Forms page) may be used when asking the Aten Seneschal to verify a warranted office held within the SCA for inclusion in an individual's Atenveldt Order of Precedence record.

Court Reporting Form

This is the form that must be used by Court Heralds for all Kingdom and Baronial Courts. Copies of this form must be provided to at least the Abacus and Aten Principal Heralds; additional copies should be provided to the Royals (Crown or Coronet) holding court, and should also be kept on file by the reporting herald.

Award Charter

General Info:

The title of Duke or Duchess is a permanent rank and indicates a Lord or Lady has reigned two or more times as King and/or Queen. They are entitled to wear a coronet with strawberry leaves on it, and to be addressed as "Your Grace," or "My Lord Duke / Lady Duchess".

From Sumptuary Traditions of Atenveldt:
Dukes and Duchesses wear Coronets of precious metals, embattled, embellished with strawberry leaves ornamented as they see fit.
