Order of Precedence
 Order of Precedence  

Order of Precedence is a sequential hierarchy of rank. In the SCA, this takes the form of recognition of awards received, the rank of the award and when the person received it. In formal events, the Order of Precedence plays a part in how members of the SCA relate to each other. For example: in Crown tournament, combatants and their consorts are presented to the crown before the tournament in Order of Precedence.

In Atenveldt's Online order of precedence, a person need not have an award to be listed. With photos from a good portion of our populace, the OP works as a who's who in Atenveldt. Feel free to explore around a bit.

Award Charter

I.      There shall exist in the Baronv of Granite Mountain an award known as the Order of the Leaf of Granite Mountain, which shall be given by the Baron and/or Baroness to those young people who demonstrate an understanding of life in these current Middle Ages, who know and use the appropriate courtesies consistently. and who demonstrate to the best of their abilities and knowledge a willingness to serve. abilities in the arts and sciences. and an interest in the arts of combat.

II.     The holder of this award shall be styled "Companion", and shall be entitled to place the initials "OLGM" after their names.

III.    The insignia of this order shall be "Per fess indented vert and sable, an oak leaf bendwise sinister inverted Or, a bordure erminois"

IV.     The Crown of Atenveldt shall be the Protector of this order.

V.      The baronial Coronet of Granite Mountain shall be the Principal of this order.

VI.     The first person to receive this award if conformed as Premier of the order and is entitled to place the initials "POLGM" after their name.            .

VII.    Amendments to this Constitution shall be made by the Baron and/or Baroness of the Barony of Granite Mountain. after due consultation with the Crown of Atenveldt.
