Order of Precedence

Order of Precedence

Order of Precedence is a sequential heirarchy of rank. In the SCA, this takes the form of recognition of awards received, the rank of the award and when the person recieved it. In formal events, the Order of Precedence plays a part in how members of the SCA relate to each other. For example: in Crown tournament, combatants and their consorts are presented to the crown before the tournament in Order of Precedence.

In Atenveldt's Online order of precedence, a person need not have an award to be listed. With photos from a good portion of our populace, the OP works as a who's who in Atenveldt. Feel free to explore around a bit.

This is the form that must be used by Court Heralds for all Kingdom and Baronial Courts. Copies of this form must be provided to at least the Abacus and Aten Principal Heralds; additional copies should be provided to the Royals (Crown or Coronet) holding court, and should also be kept on file by the reporting herald.

Spear of the Sun

Award Charter

In Anno Societatis Thirty Nine, during the Reign of Their Royal Majesties Phelan and Mariana there was created an award known as the Order of the Spear of the Sun. The Eberhauer Landsknecht was created the Premier of this order on February 19, 2005 at Estrella war.

I. There shall exist in the Kingdom of Atenveldt an award, known as the Order of the Spear of the Sun, which may be given by the King and Queen to those fighting units or households who have demonstrated excellence in the art of war, both in teaching and in the use of traditional SCA style weaponry on the fields of combat.

II. The members of the Order shall be styled as Companions of the Spear of the Sun.

III. The insignia of the order shall be a pennon bearing, (TBD) to be flown with the household or group banner.

IV. Any individual group may receive only one Order of the Spear of the Sun.

V. Companions of the Order shall take precedence after Scarabs of Atenveldt but before the Blood of Fenris.

VI. The Crown of Atenveldt shall make amendments to this charter.

VII. The Principal and Protector of the Order shall be the King.

VIII. The membership in the Order of all previous recipients of this award is hereby confirmed.

I have re-ordered the pictures above this announcement so that the newest are displayed first. Also pictures will show people's titles if they are entered into the database. Each person must submit what they go by. (ie, Lord, Lady, Master, Sir, Dame, Mistress... compound titles (Baron Sir, Duchess Dame) will be rejected.)
