Order of Precedence

Order of Precedence is a sequential heirarchy of rank. In the SCA, this takes the form of recognition of awards received, the rank of the award and when the person recieved it. In formal events, the Order of Precedence plays a part in how members of the SCA relate to each other. For example: in Crown tournament, combatants and their consorts are presented to the crown before the tournament in Order of Precedence.

In Atenveldt's Online order of precedence, a person need not have an award to be listed. With photos from a good portion of our populace, the OP works as a who's who in Atenveldt. Feel free to explore around a bit.

Aten OP Warranted Office
Verification Form

This form (fillable PDF; on the Forms page) may be used when asking the Aten Seneschal to verify a warranted office held within the SCA for inclusion in an individual's Atenveldt Order of Precedence record.

Court Reporting Form

This is the form that must be used by Court Heralds for all Kingdom and Baronial Courts. Copies of this form must be provided to at least the Abacus and Aten Principal Heralds; additional copies should be provided to the Royals (Crown or Coronet) holding court, and should also be kept on file by the reporting herald.

Order of the Atenveldt Siege Engineers

Award Charter

In Anno Societatis Forty-two in the Reign of Their Royal Atenveldt Majesties Morgan and Livia, there was created an award known as the Order of the Atenveldt Siege Engineer.

I. There shall exist in the Kingdom of Atenveldt an award, known as the Order of the Atenveldt Siege Engineers, which may be given by the King and Queen to those persons who have demonstrated excellence in the art of siege combat.

II. The members of the Order shall be styled as Companions of the Atenveldt Siege Engineers and shall be entitled to place the initials A.S.E. after their names.

III. The Insignia of the Order shall be a medallion: Or, a catapult and a bordure indented azure suspended from a blue ribbon.

IV. Companions of the Order shall take precedence after Award of Arms.

V. At the Crown’s discretion, an Award of Arms may be given with this award.

VI. Amendments to this charter shall be made by the Crown of Atenveldt.

VII. The Principal and Protector of the Order shall be the King.
