Order of Precedence

Order of Precedence

Order of Precedence is a sequential heirarchy of rank. In the SCA, this takes the form of recognition of awards received, the rank of the award and when the person recieved it. In formal events, the Order of Precedence plays a part in how members of the SCA relate to each other. For example: in Crown tournament, combatants and their consorts are presented to the crown before the tournament in Order of Precedence.

In Atenveldt's Online order of precedence, a person need not have an award to be listed. With photos from a good portion of our populace, the OP works as a who's who in Atenveldt. Feel free to explore around a bit.

Court Reporting Form

This is the form that must be used by Court Heralds for all Kingdom and Baronial Courts. Copies of this form must be provided to at least the Abacus and Aten Principal Heralds; additional copies should be provided to the Royals (Crown or Coronet) holding court, and should also be kept on file by the reporting herald.

Award Charter

Constitution for the

Order of the Walker of the Way

I. There shall exist in the Kingdom of the Outlands an award, known as the Order of the Walker of the Way, which may be given by the Crown to that person whose behavior they feel shows the highest ideals and values of the Current Middle Ages.

II. The holders of this award shall be styled as Walkers of the Way and shall be entitled to place the initials C.W.W. after their names.

III. The insignia of the Order shall consist of some rendition of a palmer walking on a path, or a medallion bearing the registered badge of the Order: Argent, a palmer, robed, hooded and bearing a staff sable.

IV. This award carries neither arms nor precedence, and only one person shall be admitted to the Order each reign.

V. Amendments to this constitution shall be made by the Crown of the Outlands.

VI. Companionship of all previous recipients of the Order is hereby confirmed.

By our hands this 13th day of June, A.S. XXXIII, being 1998 in the Common Era.
